The New Manufacturing World 2024, powered by Drees & Sommer, was created in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer and focused in particular on the topic of mega-casting in giga-factories and its impact on product development, production design and manufacturing processes.
On June 11 and 12, 2024, we brought together over 400 experts from the manufacturing industry to help shape the future of production.
The exclusive tours of Mercedes-Benz Factory 56 in Sindelfingen were a particular highlight.

The fully networked 5G factory “Factory 56” in the Mercedes-Benz car factory of the future. Under the keywords 'digital, flexible, green', innovative technologies and processes are used consistently and across the board in the production of vehicles. Mercedes-Benz is creating a modern working environment that takes greater account of individual needs. In “Factory 56” in Sindelfingen, flexibility and efficiency will be significantly increased once again compared to current vehicle assembly - without compromising on quality.
